Body language is one of the many ways to “speak” to someone without being overt about what you are trying to say. There are many things that you can say that do not translate well with words and that you can say with body language. It is suggested that women are better at body language and use it more frequently to display a wide range of emotions.
Giving someone eye contact is a great love signal to give to a partner, child, friend or family member. It says, “I care what you have to say.” It shows a general interest in the person speaking as well as lets them know that you are paying attention.
Attracting attention to the body is the most common way that women show they are interested in someone. This is called preening. Often women do this by flipping their hair, adjusting their clothes or even drawing attention to their mouths with food or drink or even licking their lips. This is often used more for sexual advance and not love, but it is a good attention getter.
Touching a person is a sign of affection. Depending on where you touch the other person is what makes the difference in what kind of affection you feel for them. Flirtatious touching on the neck, back or leg is a sign of wanting to be intimate, while touching on the arm, hand or even the face are often body language signals of love.
*Don’t let someone’s body language make you feel uncomfortable.
* Fidgeting is not always a sign of disinterest, some people don’t know how to hold still.
