This is a CollageIt tutorial. In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up your background. In other words, you will learn how to create the background for your photo collage you are working on. If you are new to this program, follow this tutorial to get started with the background section.
To get started, you will need to make sure you already have your photos in the left panel that you want to use. If you are unsure on how to do this, please see my adding and removing photos guide on this program. To begin with the background, you will need to click the Background button at the bottom of your program. That will open the background properties box.
Then you will need to decide if you want to use a color background or an image background. Once you have made your decision, you will need to click the option in the background box. We will take a look at both of the options.
If you chose the color background, you will need drop the box down and select what type of fill you want to use. You can use a solid field or you can use a gradient fill. Once you have made your selection, you will see the color box below the drop down box. If you chose a gradient, you will see two color boxes. You will need to click the box or boxes to select the color you want to use. When the color box opens, you can click the color and it will be applied. If this is the background you want to use, click the OK button at the bottom of the box to apply it to your collage.
If you chose to use an image background, you will first need to click the Load button. From there, you can select the image you want to use from your computer and open it. Then you will need to select how you want it to appear. You can tile it, stretch it, or crop it. When you are finished setting up the image background, you can click the OK button to apply the background to your photo collage.
If at any time you want to change the background of your photo collage, you can do so by opening the background properties again. Make the changes you want and click the OK button.
