Getting a mild illness such as a cold can be quite uncomfortable for some people. Some people cannot even tolerate mild illnesses and end of dying from the disease. Other people who have chronic diseases such as diabetes are forced to live with the disease. All Illnesses limit the quality of life. Most illnesses can be prevented by doing the following things:
1.Get yearly physical examinations. Your doctor will be able to detect any early signs of illnesses. Early treatment especially for cancer can be able to save your life. Do not ignore doctor’s visits even if you do not feel ill. Some illnesses such as hypertension have no real symptoms and you only notice the symptoms when they are out of control.
2.Eat a healthy balanced diet. Plan your meals in advance to prevent buying junk food. Drink eight to ten glasses of water to flush out toxins.
3.Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep weakens the immune system and this causes the body to be more susceptible to illnesses
Exercise regularly. Exercise helps improve quality of life by strengthening the heart, improving circulation, digestion and burning calories.
4.Have an active social life. Get married and have children. Share your problems with family and friends
