You’re working or playing games on your Dell laptop, when, suddenly, the screen is turned to the left or right, or even upside down! This can happen if you attempt to press the Ctrl, Alt and Delete keys in an effort to open up the Windows Task Manager, and you hit a wrong key. It happened to me recently when I exited a game of Scrabble. Something went awry with the graphics and the screen turned sideways. According to Windows Help Central, this feature does have a purpose besides boggling your mind. It allows web designers and web developers to view oversized pages. Read this informative article to find out how to turn the screen right side up on your Dell laptop computer.
Looking at a sideways or upside down screen on your Dell laptop may give you that “Uh-oh” feeling that you’ve got a big problem. Don’t worry, it’s actually pretty simple to fix:
1. Press the Ctrl and the Alt keys down together. Then, press the up arrow key to turn the screen on your Dell laptop right side up. Just for fun, you can press the down arrow key while you hold the Ctrl and Alt keys down to turn the screen upside down. Or, press the left or right arrow keys to turn the Dell laptop computer screen either way.
2. You can also right-click on the screen to bring up a white box. Click on the “Graphics Options”, then choose “Rotation”. Click on the “Normal” setting to turn the screen right side up on your Dell laptop.
Option #2 can be tricky to do. It’s harder to click on selections when your computer screen is tilted to the left, right, or upside down.
