When creating a website, one of the things you will want to do is upload images to your site. In this guide, I am going to show you how to upload images to your media manager in Joomla. To get started with this guide, you will need to be logged in as the admin.
Next, you will need to open the Media Manager page. To do this, you will need to hover your mouse over the Site button and click the Media Manager link in the menu. That will load your media manager page and you will see the image files that are already in your Joomla database.
To upload an image, you will need to choose the folder you want to upload it into. The folders are located on the left side of your screen. You can click a folder you want to upload the photo into. You also have the option of creating a new folder to upload your images into.
If you want to create a new folder for your image, you will first need to click Media link in the left panel. Then at the top of your media manager, you will need to type in a name for your new folder in the Folder field. Then click the Create New Folder button. Your new folder will be created and you will see it in the left side of your screen. You can click the folder to select it.
To upload the image, go to the bottom of the media manager page and click the Browse button. When the box opens, locate the image you want to upload and double click it. Then click the Start Upload button. Give it a second and your image will be added to your media manager page. If you have more images to upload, you can repeat the steps in this guide to do so.
Make sure you select the folder in the left panel that you want to upload the image to before you begin to upload.
