I average at least 10 articles a day, and it’s actually very easy to do. All you need is an open mind, a passion for writing, the ability to type as you go, and of course, a little time. Even if you only have 2 hours a day, you can still submit 5 or more articles so long as you have the idea and the drive.
I usually type as I go. I also usually only type about things I have knowledge of, since I hate to look stuff up. I also only write about things that interest me, so I don’t get bored or discouraged from writing. I also typically turn one article idea or topic and branch it out so I can get 2 or more quality articles about it.
An example? Recently I received flowers for no reason, and it reminded me of the fact that every flower has a secret meaning behind it emotion-wise. So I was turned on to not one, but two article topics- one about the symbolism behind flowers, and another on birth month flowers. Viola! 2 articles simply based upon the fact that my sweetie had recently given me flowers just to be an AWESOME guy.
It also helps when you have a freakish brain that retains absolutely everything. Nothing is off-limits (so long as it’s not pornographic, offensive, or illegal) so if you are picking up dog crap in the yard and get inspired to write an article about why dog poop turns white, be my guest! I’ll read it!
You also just need to type when the inspiration hits. I often get article ideas from the TV in the background, which inspired my article on whether or not you can freeze milk (a commercial about milk was on). It reminded me that I freeze milk, so I wrote an article based on my experience.
Which reminds me to point out that everyone has experienced or done something that is an article inspiration. Hey, if I can write about frozen milk and get paid for it, surely you can do one way better.
To come up with 10 article topics a day you need to look no further than the world around you- seriously. Better yet, don’t even think of articles. Just sign onto Associated Content, click on “publish”, and start writing like you’ve never written before. I write all possible topics down on a notepad I keep under my laptop, but I rarely have to turn to it for inspiration. My articles just sort of “show up”.
Don’t write in just one genre. Branch out- you don’t have to stick to one thing. Certainly you have knowledge and interests in more than one subject- write about anything that stirs you. Seriously. I don’t care how weird it is. Somebody is going to read it and make you some money.
Of course, you have to enjoy writing to write all the time. I always branch it out, so I’m not typing all day long. Over the course of about 10 hours, most of it is actually NOT spent writing, but rather hanging out with friends, walking my dog, or cleaning house. I only write when the mood really hits, which is often. I don’t force myself into it.
Also, I refrain from typing goals, like hitting a set amount of articles in one day. This actually made me produce LESS. Rather, I just go with the flow and type more naturally. Today alone I’ve written 16 articles and counting. You produce more when you don’t have a minimum hanging over your head.
Just start typing, is all I can say, and let one article idea spurn another. Before you know it, you’ll have many submitted articles that you can be proud of.
