Humans are in the late stages of dependency on money (wealth)
Power: something that causes change.
Belief: considering an idea to be true.
Faith: complete trust.
Spirituality: Love, or not using a substance to change ideas.
Accountant`s definition of wealth: “money”.
In the past humans initially lived as individuals but eventually grouped together which had certain advantages when hunting which then progressed to agriculture.
Initially bartering was used as an economic tool in order to return favours, which was followed by exchanging gold and then paper money.
People would lend money to each other at no cost but then interest was introduced on loans by clever people who gained from loan interest payments.
Large groups of people competed with other groups in economic and physical wars which led to empire formation.
Each successive empire was characterised by the growth pattern of an organism i.e. creation, growth, maintenance, involution and ultimately death.
The past empires were discreet and not global. However the empires gradually reached global proportions.
Each empire became wealthier than the previous empire and the wealth spread to more and more fortunate individuals.
The desire to gain money started to spread faster with the development of wealth generating cities.
Moral behaviour declined initially in the cities as the desire for money and the obsession-compulsion with money increased. The immoral behaviour started to extend beyond the cities.
People started to compare their wealth with other people`s wealth and despaired.
The fabulous wealth of the few was boasted about in the media and the envy of the many increased.
The media also promoted fearful ideas and thinking amongst the now global population of the empire. The fear made the many seek more money in order to reduce their fear. Resentment, self-pity and dishonesty grew.
The media became the consciousness of the global empire.
In the end the media provided the ideas that one`s thinking should be orientated towards obtaining more and more money without thinking about the consequences in the belief that more money would reduce fear.
The physical health of the world deteriorated as the surface of the Earth was raped in order to produce wealth.
Loans were demanded by the many from the few with wealth, in order to achieve material wealth and interest rates rose and the wealthy became wealthier.
However as in all cases of severe dependency at one point the magic line was crossed and even though the obsession-compulsion with money or wealth was increasing the population of the empire became irritable, restless and discontent.
Ideas, thoughts and feelings continued to deteriorate and the seven deadly sins started to rear their heads. The heavenly virtues started to decline as population characteristics:-
DEADLY SINS/HEAVENLY VIRTUES
Wrath – Patience
Greed – Charity
Lust – Chastity
Envy – Kindness
Sloth – Diligence
Gluttony – Temperance
Pride – Humility
As the dependency on money by the many reached epidemic proportions and the obsession-compulsion increased the spiritual, mental and physical health of the many deteriorated towards animal level.
The finale of this natural history of the human`s dependency on money or wealth is oblivion as is the story of all cases of late dependency unless human`s regain insight.
At one point the humans “will not want to live but will be too afraid of dying”. Suicide or nuclear armaggedon will be considered.
Unfortunately the so-called “higher power” of humans which was nature has been replaced by organisations which promote a man as the “higher power” e.g. the US President, the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Mohammed.
It is unlikely that another human claiming to be a “higher power” in this scientific age will easily convince another human not to be obsessed with money when the humans claiming to be a “higher power” are themselves suffering from an obsession-compulsion with regards money.
Until human return to the idea that nature is the “higher power ” and not a man, then humans are heading towards oblivion.
It is interesting that the media are heavily pushing the possibility of extra-terrestrial life at present. This is the equivalent of someone with dependency looking for an outside source to regain their spirituality.
The answer to human`s late dependency on money lies within the minds of men.
The recovery from dependency usually occurs in the following sequence
1. Restoration of spiritual health.
2. Restoration of mental health.
3. Restoration of physical health.
Hopefully the Earth`s health will improve as human health improves.
