I think the reason I like it here in Mexico, so much is because the Mexican ideals and mine are much closer matched than that of those in the states. I’m a Universalist, not a Christian exactly, although I do teach some Christian ideals and verses. I teach a variety of ideals to people as you probably noticed in my writings. http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/850812/hokua_oe_lopqi_lokki.html
My parents were Christian. My mother was witch prior to marrying my dad. I took no real stance in life. I was still looking. I studied Wicca, Buddhism, Tao, Christianity, etc. I found similar teachings in all of them. The Universalist and Spiritualists seem to have the right idea…that idea was that all religions were good religions despite their own biased view points. A true Universalist in my opinion holds no bias towards one religion or the other and will focus mostly on spiritualism than the religious view…so basically they are just spiritualists…they have just given their idea a name, but so have those who call themselves spiritualists, or am I wrong. Everyone wants to name everything. Humans love to individualize everything. It seems innate. Would it kill us if we weren’t allowed to name something?
I could see it now…The Divine Entity that Created All Life sends down a messenger of some sort demanding that a certain something or someone remain nameless or the person who named it would die. A lot of people would end up dead. They wouldn’t be able to help it. It would inevitably be the end of the world, as we know it, because everyone that came across this thing or person would have the ambition and initiative to have to and to want to call this person or thing by something specific. And then obviously and tragically the person who named it would die. Really sad. What sponsored this thought…not a clue in heaven or hell. I couldn’t tell you for the life of me. It was just an odd thought that crossed my mind yesterday, last week and most of my life growing up as I watched people battle about what religious ideal and view point was truth and real and who was going to hell for having a different ideal.
Funny thing is, if you take away the names of the people and the religion itself, the ideals and stories are quite similar. Is it possible that The Divine Creator of all life may have sent a different messenger to all nations to teach the exact same idealism to different cultures, with maybe a few different scenarios, but similar outcomes for most of them…that being the people found peace through these teachers and learned about love and understanding…or did they truly learn understanding if they are still arguing over the mere fact of religious names being different. The religions are named after the primary teachers that taught them, or after the culture that they originated from. All I see really, is people fighting over a name, people fighting for supremacy. The Divine Power that created all life should be what has supremacy, not these religions and the names they are held under is my opinion. I thought we were all out to worship the creator. So, one culture says it is male, another says it is female, another says that is more than one and that there is a patriarchal ladder…I don’t see how any of this matters. It may matter to you, but I really don’t understand why. Look at the teachings you are taught. Doesn’t it teach love, patience, understanding, and respect in one form or another? The teachings were written by the hands of man in hopes of bringing us closer to the Divine, but humans, be they male or female or even transgendered are fallible. We make mistakes. We become power hungry sometimes. I do not think at any point that our Divine creator ever said slaughter those who do not teach under the same name that we do. Humans do that. If the Divine Creator wanted someone dead, I think it can handle that particular instance all on its own without help from us.
