You start to feel like that is the only thing you have in life and that surely there is something more you could be doing. That doesn’t make you a bad mother, it makes you human. That is why it is important to have relationships outside of the home. You need to interact with others and do some things just for yourself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to take care of your family. You can do that better if you have a couple of outside interests though.

Children are watching their parents. If they see you making good relationships outside of the home, they will be more likely to be able to establish good relationships outside of their comfort zone as they grow up. It teaches them that they can be more outgoing.
Let’s you Grow- When you are a stay at home mom that doesn’t get out of the house and make new relationships, it doesn’t give you as many opportunities to grow as a person.
