If you start going through some of the databases of Neopet items looking for things to hoard chances are you are going to be completely overwhelmed. There are literally thousands of things to browse and some crazy categories like food and books, retired, wearable and of course seasonal things. A good restocker is someone that hoards in the off season; when you amass a thousand of something you can sell off a couple hundred of them when the prices rise without worrying that it is going to retire or see a price spike in the future.
Of course there is no way to know exactly what is going to be a hot seller, become retired or come in to demand but things like Advent Calendar items and ‘special’ release things aren’t as risky to invest in as other items. If you blindly try to pick five or six things that “might” turn a mega profit chances are you are going to lose your shirt.
As far as Christmas is concerned, there are a lot of awesome items that are still selling cheap that you can stock up on to resell or give to your Neofriends as presents. Some of them are edibles, some are books and some are items from the past few years that were Advent related or from other site promotions. While this is an extremely short list, it can give you some ideas of what to start shopping for but don’t overlook checking your own Safety Deposit Box for hidden gems that you may have forgotten about.
FOOD: My picks are pretty simple but I have had great luck with them in the past. “Chocolate Snowflake Cake”, “Seasonal Chomby Biscuits”, “Diorama of Petpetpets Celebrating the Holidays”
TOYS: The “Christmas Spyder Plushie” can still be found for less than 100 NP; this has a lot of appeal because it has Christmas, Halloween and plushie qualities so more people will be buying them. Also check out “Christmas Chia Hand Puppet”, “Holiday Origami Kit” and “Winter Love Usuki Set”.
GIFTS: There are some nice greeting cards that can still be found cheap; “Winter Card” is one of them. Others include: “Happy Holidays Card”, “Dark Nova Ornament” and “Jewel Encrusted Christmas Ornament”.
BOOKS: Most of the books from previous Advent Calendars are over 1,000 NP but there are some inexpensive titles like “Holiday Connect the Dots”, “Holiday Colouring Book”, “Bruce Snowball Strategies” that you can invest in.
One thing to remember is that there are always new people joining the site so even though something is selling for 100 NP today, that doesn’t mean the price is going to stay the same in a month. Eventually the stock of special items wears thin and the price starts to inflate.
