Lisa Kelly Sees Two Bad Accident Scenes on IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 4
Lisa Kelly starts out at the Kuppa Dam facility. Her next load will be a four ton steel duct to take to the Karcham Dam site. Her spotter Tashi thinks she’s driving a bit fast, now that she’s more confident with driving these roads. She comes upon a fatal accident scene with a truck. Kelly questions as to whether she should continue driving such roads. Lisa arrives safely with the duct, but reminisces about the good ol’ days on the safer Dalton. She heads out, and another driver breaks one of her mirrors. She then witnesses another accident scene on Season 1, Episode 4 of IRT: Deadliest Roads, where five laborers were killed riding in the back of a truck illegally. The driver fled the scene. Lisa keeps on going, dealing with the potentially deadly challenges of sharing the narrow road.
Dave Redmon Encounters a Potential Mob on IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 4
Rick Yemm is still balling out the Indian drivers as he drives. He’s carrying a big load of flour to the hydroelectric facility and is really tired. He hears that a truck driver has gone off the same road Lisa Kelly was on, and fears that it was her. Of course, the editors of IRT: Deadliest Roads show the accident scene, and create the impression that Kelly could’ve been in that accident on the Season 1, Episode 4 airing, but Lisa is soon shown to be fine as described above. Yemm’s spotter Abdul finds out over the phone that she’s okay, making Yemm feel relieved, until he comes up to a traffic jam, which puts his truck ever so close to the edge with failing brakes. He manages to navigate out of the fix with Abdul’s help. Yemm gets an edible blessing along the way (a sugary candy), and later arrives at the delivery site. But Rick gets bad news from home, and heads back to Shimla because his daughter is in the hospital, very sick. She’s got Cystic Fibrosis, and he feels guilty for not being with his daughter. It appears he’s going home.
Dave Redmon delivers his load after a three day journey of trials and tribulations with his truck, the roads, and traffic, but now must go up “The Ledge” to get a steel box. Redmon navigates his way on the road, constantly blaring his horn so his presence will be known to the other drivers. Nonetheless, he has a minor accident with a bus, where some windows were broken. His spotter Sanjeev tries to hold off the gathering mob, and Dave decides to pay off the driver the equivalent of $10 to replace the glass, calming the situation down so he can keep on truckin’.
