IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 8 aired on History Channel Sunday night, and saw unscrupulous loaders try to overload the trucks of Lisa Kelly and Dave Redmon. The mountain roads keep on being treacherous. For Season 1, Episode 8 of IRT: Deadliest Roads sees the three drivers get caught in a mudslide. Additionally, Rick Yemm gets sicker and sicker as the show progresses.
Lisa Kelly Is Tired of Being Thought Dumb on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 8
Kelly and her spotter Tashi argue over letting a truck pass, especially after Lisa lets the truck pass, which angers the spotter so much he confronts the truck driver who stops before ultimately going on. This delays her cement pick up. She protests having to take 165 bags of cement, and after haggling with Tashi and the cement boss to get the load reduced, the rift with her and Tashi deepens. Lisa Kelly is tired of being thought of as dumb on Season 1, Episode 8 of IRT: Deadliest Roads, and even more tired of Tashi’s spotting, which gets her jammed up with a car on a bridge, which she had the right of way on. After the jam ends, Kelly and the other driver argue, but then settle it. She, Dave, and Rick all meet up to descend, just as the three come to a rockslide. As she leads, she stops in the midst of muddy roads (at Tashi’s insistence) as rock slide continues, threatening all three drivers, especially with pedestrians and autos sprawled on the road. Nonetheless, they survive and continue on separately.
When Lisa arrives with her load, she meets with the customer, who complains that the load is short 35 bags. Lisa explains that she wanted to be safe and not risk being overloaded. She confides with Dave that she is concerned about Tashi trying to put her in dangerous situations, and Redmon advises her to can her spotter. Kelly tells Tashi that she wants to go on her next trip alone, but Tashi tries to change her mind, but ultimately, he’s let go, leaving Lisa all alone.
Rick Yemm Gets Sicker and Sicker on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 8
Before the adventures on the descent up the north face, Dave Redmon picks up some gravel for Keylong, but has trouble maneuvering around the site. He’s asked to pick up a 20 ton load, which Redmon balks at that, saying nine tons are the max, but he ends up being overloaded anyway. As he goes up the road, he decides to dump some of the gravel on the roadside. After splitting up with the drivers, he delivers his load on IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 8. The customer understands about Dave leaving some gravel on the road awhile back, especially since he still got more gravel than he paid for.
Rick begins the show with a nine ton load of cement to pick up, but he doesn’t feel good, and he goes along with Dave just ahead of him. Redmon tells Yemm about a big rock in between his tires. It takes three attempts with rope to pull the rock out after a bar is used the third time. After he survives the above north face rockslide, he unloads, but soon gets sicker as he goes to get a load in Manali.
