Is fear holding you back from achieving success? You may not even realize that you have fear in your life. Some symptoms of fear include: procrastination, avoidance, compulsive behavior, etc. In addition to clearing the way for achieving your goals; a bonus for replacing fear in your life is the reduction/elimination of some of the manifestations of fear that are occurring in your life. Are you seeking comfort in short lived quick fixes?
If you are experiencing some of these behaviors, you may have some fear in your life. You don’t have to spend the time figuring out why you have fear or what the fear is all about. Simply recognizing fear gives you powerful tools you can use to turn it around.
Tools that you can use are affirmations and visualizations. Use powerful affirmations focusing on what you want to be feeling (hint: don’t use the word ” fear” in your affirmation). What are some words that are the opposite of fear? Courage, strength and faith are some words that I like and I have even created an affirmation below for you to use. You can also create a visualization centered around you being courageous and strong throughout your day. Be sure to include all of the senses in your visualization and practice your visualization in the morning, at night, and/or whenever you feel the need. Take yourself through your visualization before a meeting, a presentation, a difficult conversation, etc. You will begin to truly see yourself as strong and courageous.
As you allow fear to fall away and embrace thoughts of strength, you will feel more centered and feel more joy. You may also notice that you have less procrastination and/or other negative coping behaviors.
Affirmation: “I am so happy and so thankful now that I have courage, faith, and strength in every situation that I face.”
