Is the Bible really true? Is it really the inspired Word of God?
Oh, absolutely. And here’s the proof:
In the Bible you will find hundreds of prophecies that have been historically fulfilled. For example, Micah: 5:2 identifies Bethlehem as Messiah’s birthplace 700 years before the Lord Savior Jesus Christ was born. And, in no uncertain terms, the suffering servant passage of Isaiah 52-53 describes Jesus Christ’s substitutionary atonement for the sins of humanity. Amazingly, the Old Testament contains over 300 messianic prophecies, all of which have been fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
Unity and Continuity
The Bible was written over a span of fifteen hundred years by 40 different authors. It was written in different times and in different places using three different languages. Yet despite this tremendous diversity in terms of authorship and languages, the Bible tells a single story: the fall of humanity and God’s gracious plan of redemption through the atoning sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise God that He has chosen to speak to us through His Word. Praise God that He offers us the free gift of eternal life. All He asks of us is that we repent and, by faith, believe that Jesus died in our place.
Thank you, Jesus!
