The Joran van der Sloot confession is another piece of the puzzle to the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway. As reported at CBS, Joran van der Sloot admitted to extorting money from Natalee Holloway’s parents in order to get back at them. “I wanted to get back at Natalee’s family – her parents have been making my life tough for five years. When they offered to pay for the girl’s location, I thought: ‘Why not’?” said Joran van der Sloot.
Joran van der Sloot’s confession provides more weight to those who believe he killed Holloway
In 2005, Natalee Holloway, while on a class trip to Aruba, was seen leaving a casino with Joran van der Sloot, a 23-year-old Dutch man. He became a prime suspect, but Aruban authorities, after arresting him twice, decided they did not have enough evidence to put him behind bars. Despite the news from Aruba, a video, where van der Sloot was secretly recorded, shows him telling an acquaintance that Holloway died in his presence and that he got on a friend’s boat and threw her body in the sea.
Joran van der Sloot used the extortion money to go to Latin America where Stephany Flores was found dead
As reported at CBS, U.S. prosecutors arranged a sting operation where Natalee’s mother sent money to van der Sloot. Van der Sloot used the money for a trip to Latin America. While on that trip, in Peru, he is alleged to have killed Stephany Flores in a hotel room.
Is the Joran van der Sloot confession the words of a serial killer who operates out of casinos?
Natalie Holloway disappeared on May 30, 2005 after leaving a casino with van der Sloot. On May 30, 2010, exactly five years later, Stephany Flores is seen leaving a casino with Joran van der Sloot who then allegedly killed Flores in a hotel room in Peru.
As another woman is suspected of being lured to her death by the tall, young Dutchman, is this tall, young Dutchman a serial killer? Joran van der Sloot confessed to the murder of Stephany Flores, but then recanted his confession claiming he was coerced. This, despite the video of Joran van der Sloot seen picking up the hotel keys with Stephany Flores following behind him. She continues to follow him into the hotel room, but later it’s only van der Sloot who leaves, packed and off on his way. Flores is found on the hotel room floor, strangled, with her face smashed in. Do the videos of Joran van der Sloot – leaving a casino with Natalee Holloway, telling an acquaintance that Holloway was thrown in the sea, entering a hotel room with Flores – support an innocent man?
Now Joran van der Sloot sits in a Peruvian jail cell, arrested for the murder of Stephany Flores, awaiting his fate. Even Anita van der Sloot, who originally refused to believe her darling son could be guilty, is now beginning to crack. “I’m not going to visit Joran in Peru. I don’t have any feeling that it can up to anything, I want to keep distance,” she says.
