Justin Bieber and Punk’d may be a new team, as reported at Access Hollywood. The 16-year-old mega star is in negotiations to host the show that ran from 2003 to 2007 with Ashton Kutcher as the host. If the show is revived, Kutcher will remain executive producer.
Bieber is no stranger to pranks
Those familiar with Punk’d are aware that it was a show where Ashton Kutcher executed pranks on celebrities via hidden camera. At the end of the pranks, celebrities are told that they have been “punk’d.” During the pranks, sometimes the celebrities would get really pissed off and sometimes they didn’t. But it was fun to watch the real personalities emerge from the celebrities before they’re told they’re on camera.
Justin Bieber as the host of Punk’d would be perfect, because Bieber is no stranger to pranks. One of Bieber’s most famous pranks is when he tweeted a hacker’s cell phone number as revenge for the hacker getting into his friend’s Twitter account. Bieber tweeted the phone number of the alleged hacker, Kevin Kristopik, but fans thought the number was Bieber’s. As a result, Kristopik’s cell phone was flooded with calls.
Bieber continues to make wise moves for his future
As Justin Bieber and Punk’d aim to become a team, Bieber continues to make wise moves for his future. He recently appeared in the season premiere of CSI as a troubled teen linked to a bomb plot.
More adventures into television land, including Punk’d, are likely to come. The world of screaming teens won’t last forever, and it doesn’t hurt to start early in preparing for a long future in the entertainment business. No child star wants to end up as yesterday’s news at the ripe old age of 21.
