Do you hate to think of all the bills that you will be facing after Christmas? Although times are tough and you may be doing without things for yourself, you still want to get your kids special Christmas gifts. It is difficult, you want to buy gifts, but you don’t want to face those bills later, it’s very overwhelming. Use K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program and take some of the burden off of your shoulder.
K-Mart is trying to help. They have brought back their Layaway Program. There is an 8 week program for purchases under $300 and a 12 week program for purchases over $300. Here’s what you do for their 8 week layaway program:
Step #1 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
Shop as you normally would. You can shop on-line or in-store, either way. Get that football for Tommy or the Barbie doll for Sue. What about that tool kit for your husband and that warm robe for Aunt Pat? Get the items on your list first.
Step #2 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
Take everything to the special layaway counter in the store.
Step #3 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
All new layaway accounts must pay a $5 service fee. Service fees are non-refundable in case you cancel out of the layaway program.
Step #4 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
Make a down payment of either $15 or 10 percent of the purchases, depending on which number is higher. If you spend $200, then your down payment would be $20. If you spend $100 your down payment would be $10.
Step #5 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
Pay off your balance in 4 easy payments, once you made the down payment.
Step #6 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
Pick up your merchandise after the last payment is made.
Step #7 in K-Mart’s 8 Week Layaway Program
See how happy everyone is when they open their gifts on Christmas!
The basic different in the K-Mart 12 week layaway program is: service fee is $10, your down payment would be $30 or 10 percent and you can pay off the balance in 6 payments after the down payment is made.
K-Mart’s Layaway Program should make the holiday shopping a little easier. Your gifts will be paid for and you won’t have to worry about those bills coming in the mail later on.
As always, be sure to make a budget and stick to it. It is too easy to get caught up in the moment when you are in the store. Shop smart and have a great Christmas!
