Katy Perry can not only sing, but she’s one funny lady as she appeared on the popular game show Wetten, Dass..? while in Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest. In case you’re wondering what a dirndl is, more than likely you’ve seen one thousands of times but simply didn’t know it was called that.
A dirndl is a dress that usually has a close-fitting bodice with a full skirt. Most of the time the pattern of the dress is extremely colorful and rather “loud” but only Katy Perry could get away with that.

While on the European show Wetten, dass? (meaning Wanna Bet?), Perry joked that she “loved lederhosen” (those funny little shorts supported by suspenders) and sand “Teenage Dream”.
Perry also performed “Edelweiss” from the musical “The Sound of Music.”

Oktoberfest is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year (the very first was held on October 12, 1810). Not only is it an important part of the Bavarian culture, this particular festival draws in some six million people and is considered the world’s largest fair.
