Katy Perry showing too much cleavage for Sesame Street. After a numerous amount of parents complained about Katy Perry’s revealing dress, Sesame Street pulled the song, but why?
If you watch the video, Katy is wearing a dress up like costume almost similar to Tinker belle. Tinker belle is so popular with kids parent’s don’t say a word about her outfit (which can be somewhat skimpy on some kids) Have you noticed in the song “Hot ‘N Cold” with Elmo, Perry is wearing a flesh color fabric underneath covering her chest up?
Ok, her boobs are hanging out. However, it’s not like the breasts are so big that her nipples are showing. I feel parents need to get real, and think about more serious things than Katy Perry showing too much cleavage on Sesame Street. Now if was someone else like Barack Obama’s wife, would parents be offended? Most likely no, because Michelle is somewhat of an role model to kids, and the Presidents wife. C’mon, this is way too ridiculous.
Do you take your kids to the beach, food store, or even School assemblies? You see more boobs bouncing around and being exposed there than you ever will on Sesame Street.
In my opinion children see Elmo and a princess like Tinker belle prancing around having fun, and creating a cute song. If your child is noticing and saying something about Katy’s cleavage being too much, then your child is way too old to be watching. Perry was trying to be a fun character, this whole thing is such a joke. The song and video was totally innocent, it’s how the parents are reacting. The kids can care less at that age about cleavage, or boobs popping out of a dress. All they care about is having fun.
After watching this video, I thought it was cute, and my kids were dancing around, not saying “OMG look at her boobs Mom.” Took good notice at what Miss Piggy wears. Man, Miss Piggy exposes twice the amount of cleavage than Katy perry ever will. Do you hear parents complaining about her? No, and you won’t.
