Kevin Costner is someone who we may not have seen as often on the silver screen as we once did. Costner admits that he loves doing movies, but he now has the money to focus on other projects and he can simply wait for the right script. We saw him testify in front of Congress pushing for different ways to get to work on the never ending clean up from the Gulf Oil spill.
Costner also has his own country band and has been willing to host events for the music channel CMT. CMT is the right place to go if you want to get noticed of course and many people seem to think that illegal downloading of music maybe has not hit country music as hard as it has hit other genres.
Costner was nice enough to comment on the fact that his former co-star Sean Young was going to be in Skating with the Stars. The idea of Young being on a show like Skating with the Stars was not something that Costner had thought Young necessarily had the skills or desire to do, He wishes her good luck in future endeavors. Kevin Costner did not say whether or not he would be willing to appear on “Skating with the Stars” one day. Costner also did not shed any light on whether he would be willing to appear on a reality show with Motley Crue front man Vince Neil. Neil himself has been willing to appear on several reality shows in fairly recent years including “The Surreal Life.”
Costner’s latest film actually has Ben Affleck in it, so maybe Costner still has a chance to get known by a larger swath of the teenage demographic. The film “Company Men” does revolve around the idea of how to survive a downsizing at your given company. Hollywood has been touching on that subject quite a bit lately, also with the NBC show “Outsourced”
The film “Company Men” seems to focus on the idea of how to remain relevant within an enterprise as opposed to taking a comedic look at a very serious and heart wrenching matter. Tommy Lee Jones is also in the film. Jones has surely seen his fair share of heartache after major industries and crucial jobs have left smaller Texas towns. The trailer appeared to put emphasis on the tight rope that many of these citizens in these smaller towns have to walk in order to be able to keep their jobs. The truth may be that you have end up watching people compete against each other for work, true friends.
