Kroger Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese is a Kroger brand product. It can thus only be found at Kroger stores and it is generally kept alongside the Kraft Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese. Whenever I need grated cheese that combines these two cheeses, I purchase the Kroger product. The Kroger product costs less money and offers all the flavor found in the Kraft product. The container that the grated cheese comes in is even the same size as the Kraft product. That means the Kroger product offers both quantity and quality at a price that saves the customer some money. I never purchase the Kraft product any longer, unless I can find it on sale and the sale price beats Kroger’s price.
Kroger Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese adds a noticeable degree of flavor to pasta and pizza. Adding some of the grated cheese to a dish of pasta enhances my overall enjoyment of the meal. Although this grated cheese mixes a sharp-flavored cheese with a more mild one, the blending of sharp and mild gives this grated cheese a an unmistakable double layer of flavor. The combination of sharpness and mildness works because both cheeses remain noticeable in flavor. When it comes to a pasta dish, usually the sauce is where the flavor of the meal comes from since pasta alone does not taste like much of anything. Finding the right balance of herbs and spices to add to a sauce can be difficult, and not adding enough can result in the sauce itself not having a very rich flavor. This grated cheese though helps boost a somewhat bland and boring pasta dish to the point where it can be enjoyed more fully. The same can be said for pizza that does not offer much in terms of taste. Add some of this Kroger grated cheese, and the improvement in flavor will be noticeable. I am sure this grated cheese could be added to other meals too, but I primarily use it on pasta dishes and occasionally on pizza.
Kroger Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese is just as good of a product as the Kraft Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese brand. The two cheese flavors cannot be missed and the price and size of the container that the grated cheese comes in are both impressive. The grated cheese adds an extra layer of flavor to pasta dishes of all creations and can make pizza that is bland more desirable to eat. The grated cheese remains fresh for several weeks and the freshness is never an issue when I purchase it. Going with the Kroger brand over the national, name brand, is a choice that works for me because I notice no difference in the quality of the grated cheese and I save money each time I purchase the Kroger brand over the Kraft brand, or any other brand that offers these two cheeses mixed together in one bottle.
