A temporary restraining order was granted to Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio Wednesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court against Livia Bistriceanu, of Chicago.
The 41-year-old claims to be the film star’s wife, with additional claims that she is presently pregnant and with child. His child.
Three-time Oscar-nominee DiCaprio states he has never met Bistriceanu, who showed up at his home and office at least two different times that he is aware of. She left Chicago and made the trip across country to see the actor.
Di Caprio sought the order of protection in light of Bistriceanu’s recent obsession with him, staking, and harassment, which caused DiCaprio to feel his personal safety was threatened. It is reported that she has been put on psychological hold twice.
The smitten Ms Bistriceanu reportedly wrote several letters to DiCaprio, which were read by Judge Carol Boas Goodson.
In a sworn declaration filed by the actor and his hired security, he indicated that Bistriceanu was aggressive and refused to leave the Di Caprio properties when asked. DiCaprio wrote she displayed a strong desire to make physical contact with him and was nonchalant about any imposing consequences.
One letter written by Bistriceanu greeted DiCaprio by saying, “Dear husband Leo.”
It seems as if DiCaprio’s life is entangled with women right now. In another case, his legal issues continue with Aretha Wilson, a Canadian, involved in an attack against the actor.
Wilson learned on this past Thursday she will have to stand trial for slashing Di Caprio’s face with a piece of glass while the two were at a party. The incident occurred in 2005 at the home of Rick Salomon, (of Paris Hilton and the sex tape scandal fame).
Wilson, a 40-year-old ex model put in a plea of “not guilty” in answer to charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Extradited from Canad to LA after trying to escape prosecution, she is being held on $150,000 bail. DiCaprio received 17 stitches on his cheek and ear. He will be ready to testify and take the stand for this case when it eventually goes to trial.
