Lady Gaga and Eminem are both nominated for many awards in the upcoming MTV Music Awards, now viewers will get to tune in to see who will dominate for 2010.
At the Nokia theater in Los Angeles the 2010 MTV Music Awards will inspire us, it will make us laugh, cry, and wet our pants in anticipation. Who will be the victor? The new lady of pop or the ever towering colossal of rap?
With both of them dominating in mostly all of the categories, and both with top hits all over the billboards, it will be interesting to see how this event comes to an end.
From Contact Music:
“Gaga leads the nominations tally with 13, including ‘Best Pop Video’, ‘Best Female Video’, and ‘Video of the Year’, whilst Eminem has 8, most notably for ‘Best Male Video’, and ‘Video of the Year’. Gaga has become the first female artist to be nominated for two different videos in the ‘Video of the Year’ category – ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Telephone’ have both been given the nod. “
Lady Gaga has been on top of a lot of the music industry lately, putting many other pop stars to shame. Surpassing the likes of other superstars such as Katy Perry and Ke$ha, Lady Gaga has been pumping out hit after hit this year with little to no time without seeing her name listed on top.
While on the other hand Eminem has come back in 2010 as hard as ever, releasing both his Relapse CD and later on in the year, his insanely popular Recovery CD, which is hailed by many to be the best of his career thus far.
That doesn’t change the fact that Lady Gaga is leading the nominations in votes 13 to 8; yet will this outcome change as the MTV Music Awards get closer? Will more people jump on the rap bandwagon, or stay with their pop-bizarro-princess? It’s hard to tell, but on Sunday the 12th, we will find out who will take home the gold and wins the nominations.
On another note, pop singer Ke$ha said that she had a hard choice picking between the two, but respects brutally honest people, and basically said her card was for Eminem. Could the foul mouthed lyrical madman pull off a come back? Tune in to MTV Sunday, and we’ll find out!
