Last minute Halloween decorations that you could use outside of your home, or indoors for that last minute party, are easy to do. Don’t ever assume that a few days before a holiday are too late to decorate, as long as stores are open, you can purchase the few items you need to get your home ready for any occasion.
For Halloween, drop by your local dollar store and you will be amazed what remains for those last minute Halloween decorations. For about $10.00 you can turn your house into an unwelcoming place.
Grab a few bags of the spider web material, two scary masks, balloons and construction paper, you will need string and tape, so make sure that you have those items. On the outside around your front door, stretch out the spider web. This easy last minute Halloween decoration usually comes with black spiders in the bag, be sure to place those on for a frightful effect.
You can use the same spider web material on the inside of your home too. Place smaller pieces over the backs of furniture, knick-knacks, stair railings, windows and wherever will not get hot. Be sure to put some spiders on this too, they do give that scary feeling to your easy last minute Halloween decorations.
Take out the black pieces of construction paper and get ready to make bats. Take a piece of paper that you can draw on and make your best bat, draw a few bats in different sizes, fold the papers in half and cut out your templates. Use these to place over a folded piece of black paper and trim your bats. Hang the bats in several different places outside around the door and inside from the ceiling. With a little tape and string, you will have Halloween bats flying around your home.
For the next last minute Halloween decoration, you will be making a scarecrow using the scary masks and the balloons. Use any pants and long sleeved shirts that you have and stuff them with other clothes. If you want feet and hands on your scarecrow, you could cut them out of construction paper, or cut slices into the ends of yellow paper to make straw. Blow up balloons for the heads of the scarecrows, not only are these easy last minute Halloween decorations, but they are also much easier to hold up than jack-o-lanterns. Place the mask around the balloon and tie, or tape the balloon to the shirt, and there you have it a great scarecrow that is sure to frighten everyone.
Now turn the lights down low and put on a good horror movie for background sounds and sights, and you are ready for Halloween. You can sit one scarecrow outside and one inside in a dark corner. Together with the spider webs and bats, these make great, easy last minute Halloween decorations.
