Are you a night owl? Or a fan of cult classic movies? Celebration! Cinema at Grand Rapids North, Mt. Pleasant, Crossroads, Rivertown and Lansing have a movie venue you’ll love: Late Night Cult Favorites. For only $4, you can watch cult classics till wee hours. What exactly is a cult classic? That depends on who you ask. Groupies will tell you that a cult classic is a masterpiece of horror, suspense or comedy that has endured for more than 20 years. Those not in the cult will say that a cult favorite is a usually a cheesy, low-budget spoof film around which a group of fans forms. Whatever your definition, you will doubtless find at least one of your old favorites on Celebration! Cinema Late Night Cult Favorites list. Late Night Cult Favorites play on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 11 p.m. – midnight depending upon the show. Late Night is the perfect time to watch cult favorites; those with less discriminating tastes will be asleep and you can enjoy your cult favorite in peace. Here’s the schedule of upcoming events; check it out and see if you remember any of these favorites:
Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4, 2010 (11 p.m.) “The Neverending Story” (1984)
Friday December 10 and Saturday, December 11, 2010 (11 p.m.) “Airplane” (1980) What better way to celebrate the legacy of the late Leslie Nielson who passed away on November 28, 2010?

This is the Late Night Cult Favorites line up, for December. Celebration! Cinema Theaters does not schedule films too far in advance because viewers are invited to submit cult movie requests.
