There’s something so refreshing and charming about her – unlike other reality television stars, Lauren Conrad doesn’t get publicity from her drunken wild nights; instead, people seem to like Lauren because of her real and down-to-earth attitude.
Most of us fell in love with a very young Lauren back in 2006 when she made her debut on MTV’s ‘The Hills’ – little did MTV or Lauren know that they were creating a show that would go down in pop culture history. It’s hard to believe that it’s only been 4 years that we’ve known of Lauren Conrad but within those 4 years Lauren has released two books – her third and fourth are on the way, she’s been named the official spokesperson for numerous endorsements and she launched LC by Lauren Conrad, which is her very popular clothing line.
Lauren is very business savvy and maybe that’s why she never has fallen victim to the endless pitfalls of being a reality television star. Unlike her former BFF Heidi Montag, who reportedly is broke and living with her husband in his mom’s basement these days, when she realized ‘The Hills’ was no longer generating the once killer ratings to MTV, Conrad gracefully left the show. Conrad seems to understand how the entertainment business works. After leaving ‘The Hills’ she released her first novel, ‘LA Candy’.
But even after her departure fans felt like ‘The Hills’ just wasn’t the same – and obviously it wasn’t. MTV thought it would be a smart idea to replace Conrad with her over-the-top enemy Kristin Cavallari, and that “idea” didn’t work out too well because less than 2 season’s later ‘The Hills’ ended. Just a few weeks ago it was announced that Lauren would be returning back to reality TV. Once again, Conrad is a business woman, she’s striking the iron while it’s still hot (take note, Justin Timberlake!). But unlike ‘The Hills’ Conrad says her show will solely focus on her clothing line.
So with her return to reality TV coming, will you be watching Lauren Conrad again?
