Landscape painting is a skill that few people master. Creating colors, shapes, and textures on a blank canvas that result in a beautiful new Zealand landscape is especially tough. Andrew Whyte creates exactly that almost effortlessly. And he makes it look extremely easy. Andrew recently gave Topportunities permission to review his tutorial on Painting Landscapes and we were quite impressed. Our reviewer has absolutely no artistic talent so we figured she would be the best one for this assignment. Here is what she was impressed with:
Andrew has great images in his static tutorial showing everything such as setting up and caring for your painting supplies, brush strokes, color preparation, and more.
Andrew offers money saving tips and tricks which actually make sense and are great for the starving artist.
Andrew’s Little Gem tips listed throughout the static tutorial are great and make you look at the art of painting from a whole new perspective.
The entire static tutorial is very descriptive and easy for even a novice painter to understand.
Andrew offers many video tutorials along with his eBook in order to make sure that he has covered everything there is to know about the subject he is teaching. He has definitely came up with a well-rounded product and we were very happy to be able to review it.
Of course, there are still two questions to be answered:
Did our reviewer learn how to paint a landscape? Yeah, she did. Hers was not nearly as beautiful as Andrew’s, but it was impressive for someone who never picked up a paintbrush before. With practice, she could definitely become much better.
Is this product worth $5.95? Definitely, but only if you are serious about honing your talent. Andrew is a great teacher for someone who really wants to learn. Between the eBook and the video tutorials we feel that $5.95 is a great deal.
