I came here today to tell you a story. Listen up I’ll try not to bore you.
Dishonest, illegal and sinful too, is how I see this government I need to sue.
Merry Christmas is what I want to say; instead I hear have a happy holiday.
Are things in life so difficult now, when I say “In God We Trust” I’m in trouble oh wow?
When I was young and still in school, The Pledge of Allegiance was an important tool.
So what is so wrong that we cannot say, this is our country and this is our way.
Instead we change to please a few, and it makes me angry if you only knew.
While I’m watching “It’s a Wonderful Life”, I’m hoping someone doesn’t throw a knife.
I once believed that freedom allowed, people to say their mind aloud.
Well, I’m not afraid and I’m telling you, that God is great and life is too.
And I don’t mean to be so direct, but we can’t always be politically correct.
I’m not the one who made the rules, but we should cherish them as though they’re jewels.
Our traditions and culture are at stake, and we had better wake up before it’s too late.
God is great and God is good, let us thank him for this food.
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
I asked a friend the other day, what he thought and had to say.
I saw a faraway look in his eyes, as he shook his head and said “I despise.”
Our government and we are not the same, I’m so sick and tired I don’t know who to blame.
There’s not much we can do he said, just live with things until we’re dead.
What are you saying…until we’re dead, I’m telling you I want somebody’s head.
Your answer is no solution, and that brings me to my conclusion.
We must speak our minds on Election Day, and make these so called officials pay.
I want my life back the way it was, and I will not rest till then because,
Our lives are too important just to say, that we will fix these things someday.
I’m ashamed for our soldiers to see this mess, and to all of you I must confess.
I fought for my country in years gone by, and I was thankful I did not die.
Now here I am embarrassed to see, what my country wants me to be.
Stand up; be Strong, all they can do is say that you are wrong.
But this is your country and it is mine, I will not live as though I am blind.
Stand up and fight and see what that will bring, to you I say “Let Freedom Ring.”
