Liang’s Bistro Asian Cuisine restaurant in New Tampa, Florida, has an extensive menu that includes Chinese and Thai dishes.
I’ve dined inside Liang’s Bistro and ordered Chinese carryout from the New Tampa, Florida restaurant on numerous occasions.
Liang’s Bistro has an extremely reasonable lunch combo special that comes with white, brown or vegetable fried rice, a house salad and choice of several dishes.
Some of the items on the New Tampa Liang’s Bistro lunch combo special menu include choice of chicken, beef or shrimp with black pepper sauce, Thai basil sauce, Ku Pao Sauce, Wok Tossed with Broccoli, Wok Tossed with mixed vegetables, Garlic Sauce or Black Bean Sauce. The salad consists of lettuce, shredded carrots and a sweet and sour dressing which is quite tangy and tasty.
Here are a few of my favorite Liang’s Bistro selections if you want to order carryout Chinese in New Tampa or are looking for a healthy Chinese restaurant in Tampa:
No. 1: Chinese Eggplant in Garlic Sauce: A classic Sichuan cuisine dish, the Chinese Eggplant is not breaded. It’s in a light spicy sauce.
No. 2: Thai Basil Tofu. The Thai Basil Tofu from Liang’s Bistro is similar to the Thai Basil Leaves Chicken, which I’ve also had. They both come with basil leaves, asparagus, snow peas, broccoli, red and green peppers. The sauce was a little too spicy for my friend, but I did not mind it a bit. If you order the tofu, they come in nice big chunks.
No. 3: Pineapple Chicken: The Pineapple chicken is the Liang’s Bistro sweet and sour chicken. The chicken chunks are breaded and deep fried. I love the sweet red pineapple sauce with chunks of pineapple and chunks of green peppers. My children both love the Pineapple Chicken from Liang’s Bistro.
No. 4: Orange Peel Chicken: I ordered the Orange Peel Chicken for my children when they wanted to try something other than the pineapple chicken. The Orange Peel chicken is also fried and breaded but it comes with orange peel and chili peppers. I recommend putting the chili peppers to the side before serving to children.
No. 5: Pad Thai Noodle. When my sister came to visit Tampa, we ordered the Pad Thai Noodle from Liang’s Bistro. The portion size was enormous. She loved the rice noodles, bean sprouts and roasted peanuts. The Pad Thai from Liang’s Bistro comes with either chicken, shrimp, beef, pork or vegetable. It’s listed as light spicy, and I have to agree. It’s not too spicy. It’s as good as any Pad Thai noodles I’ve had as finer Thai restaurants.
Liang’s Bistro’s menu is extensive with appetizers, soups, salads, Lo Mein, rice noodles, fried rice, fish, shrimp, seafood, chicken, beef and pork dishes. Other highlights of the menu include their Sizzling Teriyaki Steak, Liang’s Chicken, Golden Nest Seafood, Pineapple Prawn, Vietnamese Lemongrass Shrimp, Shrimp in Lobster sauce and Snapper stir-fried or grilled with garlic, black pepper or black bean sauces.
For dessert, they serve banana spring rolls, a raspberry white chocolate cheesecake or chocolate chip cake.
The atmosphere inside Liang’s Bistro is relaxing and pleasant. The service is excellent. You can dress in shorts or wear a dress and still fit in at Liang’s Bistro.
I highly recommend Liang’s Bistro if you are looking for a healthy Chinese or Asian restaurant in the Tampa area.
