Lindsay Lohan is back behind bars for thirty days after failing a court ordered drug test. Judge Elden Fox refused Lindsay Lohan bail and no early release. Lindsay Lohan will serve her time in Lynwood Correctional Facility, where she already served thirteen days back in early summer.
Arriving to court, Lindsay Lohan was surrounded by court officials and security. Lindsay Lohan failed two drug tests one of which was for cocaine and the other was Adderall. Adderall is a drug taken by people with ADHD.
Plenty of press was surrounding the courthouse hoping to catch a glimpse of Lindsay Lohan as she entered the court. No arguments were made in the case before Judge Elden Fox made his ruling. Most everyone was in shock at the decision of the Judge.
Does Lindsay Lohan need rehabilitation instead of jail? You bet she does. Instead of placing her in handcuffs and sending her to jail, she needs to be sent to a rehabilitation center. Jail will not help her overcome the addiction she has.
Did Lindsay Lohan do wrong taking drugs and failing a court ordered drug test? You bet she did. However, this young woman needs help not jail time. Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to appear thirty days from now to answer for the failed court ordered drug test. Instead of placing her in jail for the probation violation, she should have been sent to a rehabilitation center to help her overcome her drug addiction.
Due to ambiguity in paperwork the probation department will most likely not ask for jail time for the second failed drug test.
Lindsay Lohan will be allowed visits from loved ones on a weekly basis. However, her lawyer can visit more frequently.
Last week Lindsay Lohan tweeted on her twitter page that she had failed a court ordered drug test and was ready to face the consequences of her actions.
