The saga continues. Lindsay Lohan, accompanied by her mother Dina, was in court today because of failing a drug test. Her father, Michael, was also in the courtroom. This time, the troubled actress’ attorney was not even able to make an argument for bail for her client. Judge Elden S. Fox was not interested in discussing bail for Lindsay and ordered her into immediate custody. She is ordered to remain in custody until a hearing on October 22nd.
Her father gasped when bail was denied and his daughter was handcuffed. It is doubtful that Lindsay will get out of jail before the hearing date. When a judge makes a ruling like this it stands. Maybe it is about time that a judge says “enough” when it comes to Lindsay Lohan. Someone needs to.
Even though her father, a recovering addict, knows his daughter needs help, he seemed surprised at the ruling by the judge.According to US Magazine, Michael blames Lindsay’s legal team for getting her released from rehab too soon. He also does not feel that Lindsay should return to jail saying “Jail is not good for anybody”. What? Is it any wonder this young woman is so screwed up? Michael also (sounding very much like his ex-wife Dina) said “They are destroying my daughter’s life”. “They” Michael?
Lindsay Lohan needs to take responsibility for her actions. With so many people around her blaming everyone but her for her addiction, why would she ever own up to it. Lindsay’s twitter confession about failing her drug test hinted that maybe she is finally “getting it” but then again, addicts can fool you.
Lindsay Lohan is an addict. This will be her third jail since her first arrest in 2007. She has been in and out of drug and alcohol rehab centers, been ordered by the court to attend meetings and seek therapy and she still is struggling with her addictions. For an addict, this is not uncommon.
The biggest problem is the fact that she has had gotten off way too easily because she is Lindsay Lohan. Having parents who are in denial of the severity of her problem isn’t going to help her get clean either.
Maybe having a judge in charge of her case who means business will give Lindsay Lohan a better chance of facing her addiction and working towards overcoming it. It can happen. Remember Robert Downey, jr.?
