In my opinion, there is nothing that dresses up a window like a great window treatment such as a pair of curtains. I think that a window without curtains is undressed, and I am always updating and changing out my window treatments.
Almost all of my curtains and draperies are purchased through mail order catalogs, and JC Penney has a very large selection. I always seem to find just what I am looking for at Penney’s. Although their store in town does not carry all of the different lengths that I need, I can still stop by to see what the curtains themselves look like.
Their Lisette Tab-Top Panel curtains are gorgeous! If you like sheers and you like the look of tab tops, this might be a good choice for your windows. These are available in three different sizes: 110W by 63L, 110W by 84L, and 110W by 94L. They also have matching swags if you like the layered look.
What makes the Lisette Tab-Top Panel so attractive to me is the fact that it comes in so many versatile colors! There are 19 colors in all, something for every color scheme. Colors are: Aqua Dust, Calvary Blue, Cherry Fudge, Chocolate Truff, Cool Silver, Cool White, Cream, Frosted Grape, Indigo, Linen, Merlot, Mocha, Onyx, Sage, Smoke Blue, Soft Gold, Soft Yellow, Tea Rose and Yuma Rose.
The description of the Lisette Tab-Top Panel reads “Imported yarn is tightly twisted to create a sheer, wrinkle resistant fabric”. They have a generous eight inch hem that pulls on the sheers slightly for a great hang, and are made of polyester which is machine washable.
You can’t beat the sale prices at JC Penney’s! These retail for $60, which is a bit much in my opinion, but right now they are on sale for only $29.99, just about half price. Since they are light weight, the shipping fees are not nearly as high as when you order heavy draperies or other styles of curtains other than sheers.
Although these Lisette Tab-Top Panels are sheer enough to let in a lot of light, they still provide some privacy in the evenings when the lights are on in your home and it is dark outside. I like my privacy, and I don’t have any concerns about anyone seeing inside my home with these on the windows.
I do have one issue with the design of the Lisette Tab-Top Panels, but that would pretty much apply to all tab top panels. They are a little hard to move across the pole, one tab can get twisted up by the tab next to it, and when they are covering the entire window I need to manually place the tabs on the rod so that they are equally spaced. This can become a hassle for me, but I still love the look of the curtains, and they wash up like a dream, never needing to be ironed like some sheers.
Glad to recommend the Lisette Tab-Top Panels.
