The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy wants you! (picture world war II era Uncle Sam pointing with the bridge in the background.) But no pressure or anything.
That’s right, The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is looking for volunteers and has many opportunities for you to flex your creative, professional, or actual muscles.
Whether you like to garden, take beautiful photographs, or stuff envelopes, there is a spot for you on the team! Although the season for gardening is about at an end for 2010, you can still get organized for next year or help out with any of the other many projects that they need help with.
Support your community, help the conservancy put on its programs and keep the parks beautiful.
Alternatively, you can also make a charitable cash donation to the conservancy, whether you roll around in piles of hundred dollar bills for fun on the weekends or could spare merely a ten spot, money is always welcome.
If you’re into parties and what not you can even make your donation count towards a ticket to the Hallow’s Eve Bash. Or not, if you prefer the pure altruistic form of refraining from pleasurable giving, but that’s up to you.
Visit the conservancy’s website or call (718) 802-0603 for more information.
