I am a coffee nut. Well, maybe not literally, but I love a good cup of the mud. It is delicious and most certainly not nutritious, but who cares when you’ve got caffeine coursing through your veins? One of my favorite places for the substance is called ‘The Fluid Coffee Bar’ at 501 E. 19th Ave.
This isn’t one of your multi-national chains, nor is it a national chain for that matter either. It is just a local place that employs local Denverites and it has all the charm that Denver has to offer. When you walk in you can feel at home with the friendly environment and the friendly people that work there. This lovely coffee house is in the Uptown neighborhood of Denver and nearly everyone in the area is as friendly as the employees of this cool coffee house.
At one time, the area that The Fluid Bar now resides was the home of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital. It was demolished in the 1990’s as an effort to improve the area; increasing the economic and residential life in central Denver. With all the grandeur of the new condo’s and apartments the area wouldn’t be the same without the presence of The Fluid Bar. With the opening of The Fluid Coffee Bar in 2004 people in the area have been able to meet, work and/or relax in the most comfortable coffee house in the Denver Metro area.
If you’re one of the millions of American’s that now work from home for some large corporation, or maybe you work for yourself from home, you can always come to The Fluid Coffee Bar to get some work done. The Fluid Coffee Bar offers free Wifi for your laptop when enjoying some of their delicious coffee products; or maybe you’re looking for a quick snack, you can find it here. And, if you’re one of the people that don’t have the luxury of a laptop, you can rent one of their computers for ten cents a minute. But that isn’t all they have to offer. They, of course, offer all that coffee houses have to offer; coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, breakfast burritos and even a simple little shot of espresso. This is definitely a place to enjoy; business or pleasure, you will enjoy yourself at a very respectable price.
The Fluid Coffee Bar shows local talent on their walls; painting, print, photography. And the music that streams from their sound system is something that will help you relax. I don’t think that I have ever heard, or read, anything about this very welcoming approach to independent coffee. You’ll love it.
