A year later than anticipated, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers will make his NBA debut. Griffin, who the Clippers selected with the first overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, missed all of last season with a broken left kneecap.
After watching from the sidelines last year, Griffin will come into his rookie season with a mental edge and preparedness that NBA rookies usually lack. The mental NBA experience he gained last year will benefit him on the court this season.
The 6’10” power forward is a supreme athlete with exceptional basketball skills and an incredible work ethic. Griffin is quick enough to drive past his opponent, rugged enough to battle for tough rebounds, and strong enough to hold his ground.
In Blake Griffin, new Head Coach Vinny Del Negro and the Los Angeles Clippers have an all-star in the making.
Griffin gives the Clippers and their fans something to look forward to, but the success of this season will largely depend on the health, attitude, and commitment of former All-Star point guard Baron Davis.
