I’ve recently stumbled upon the Coke rewards program. I admittedly love my diet coke, and anyway I’d be able to save on my purchases would be great. One day, I happened to look at the bottle, and saw “rewards.” I shrugged it off at the time(don’t know why). One day, weeks later, I went to buy diet coke on sale at a local store. I said to the clerk that I know for years, “if I could only give this up, I’d save a lot of money.” I have no intention of doing that, so once again, there I was looking at the bottle, and I saw “Coke rewards.” As I left, I started to give that thought. I earned points from the drug store reward program, I earned points by using my credit card for my purchase(which I pay the balance in full each month), what about the coke rewards program? Was there a third way to earn anything for free? I couldn’t wait to get home and research the rewards program online to see what it was about.
I’m all about saving and being frugal, so hopefully I was going to be “getting something to benefit me?” All I had to do was join at: http://www.mycokerewards.com/home.do, and enter the code under the bottle cap or Coke case product code from any Coke product. With each item, you’ll earn points. Those points add up, and you can browse their product catalog and use your points whenever you’d like, and have enough points to get what you’d like. They have sweepstakes you can enter that run for a limited time, various gifts you might like, and you can earn free Coke products. When I do rewards programs, I think about “saving or earning money.” I always go for the free Coke product coupons or their gift cards, if they have something I could use. I don’t like to enter the sweepstakes, because I’d rather have a sure thing, than have a greater potential to waste my points. For the gift cards, you”need to “check their website each day,” because they only have a limited number of the really good ones. They’ve had gift cards for Home Depot, Chilis, and Old Navy, to name a few. You needed to be quick on those deals, because they went fast.
If you buy coke products already, and you love it as much as I do, it’ll benefit you to join and start accumulating points. For their 20oz bottles, and 1.5 and 2 liter bottles, you’ll receive 3 points by entering the code under each cap at their website. If you purchase a 12-can case of their products, you’ll get 10 points, as well as for their cases of bottled water. At least you’ll be saving a few dollars here and there when you’re ready to use them, especially if you choose the free Coke coupons to use at the supermarket when you shop. Last I checked, to get a free 20oz bottle, you needed 30 points, a free 2 liter bottle went for 100 points, and for a free 12-can pack, you’ll need 120 points(this is a limited holiday special). When you sign up, make sure you fill out all your information accurately(especially your address), because when you use your points, they’ll mail you what gift or coupon you’ve chosen.
Join coke rewards today, and you’ll have another way to save some money over the year.
