Where are the “Made in America” toys?
My son and I were in Walmart looking around at the toys, and he could not decide on anything there that he wanted for Christmas, although he was positive and trying very very hard. Finally he said, ” Maybe Santa can look all around and find me some Made in America toys.” This stopped me dead in my tracks and made me think. You know, when a 10 year old autistic child figures out that the quality just is not there in the “Made in China” toys, you know we are failing to meet the basic needs of America.
Good ‘ole days are no more?
What happened to the good ‘ole days anyway, when America stood for quality in all aspects of it’s life. When people believed in a hard days work and producing quality; When you could find a repair shop in every town that would repair your “repairable” toaster if it broke down. One has to ask, “what is going on” in America?
Crying “save the planet” for what?
We find ourselves crying to save the planet yet everything we make ends up in the landfills. We buy into every new thing that comes along even if it is bad for our planet, and ultimately for us as humans. Even a person like me who believes the “real” science that proves we are not killing our planet by exhaling, I do however believe we are killing our environment with pollution.
When they tell us not to eat the fish in waters where there is a coal powered plant nearby because there is mercury in the water, and it could be lethal, I pay attention. Then, when they openly acknowledge that mercury especially hurts the brains of small children, I listen even more. I am then totally amazed and disgusted when I see on television, Doctors telling women who are pregnant to go get their flu shot or they are being irresponsible. This just after acknowledging that the vaccine has mercury in it even though they have other options.
Filling up the landfills?
I then think even further into this abyss of crazy rationality, and notice that they tell us to save the planet by using these new florescent lights that “conserve energy”(made in China), you know those curly kind. Well, I am mortified to find out they are filled with , yes you guessed it, mercury. These lights are above the heads of my children. I have screwed them in myself without a glove on. What if one broke? Then I think even further and realize all of these are being thrown beneath our feet into the landfills and ditches and cracks and crannies of our planet through littering and irresponsible handling. We know all too well that all of this will end up in the water tables. God forbid there is a tornado or earthquake.
Conspiracy to destroy America?
Do they really know what they are saying when they cry “save the planet”? You bet they do. These crying this only see dollar signs in their eyes, and a population stupid enough to listen to all of their ramblings. They must surely think we can’t possible think rationally anymore. Through the twisting and turning of this issue they will have us all saying, “well we have to do what we can”, and think into it no further.
Don’t buy American made traditional lights, but buy an even more dangerous type of “energy saving” light from China. The reason we do not make them here is because of regulations. It is too dangerous to our planet to produce them here yet we bury them here, and have them everywhere with no education as to how dangerous they are.
Living in a throw away society is the main reason we need to “save the planet”, not the false side of this that we see being preached by “fake science”, that punishes the living for breathing.
What’s wrong with the push for different sources of power?
Don’t use coal based power plants but lets use electric cars that require charging, and therefore massive amounts of electricity. The cheapest method of the production of large amounts of reliable electricity is a waterfall but how many extra large ones do we have anyway. Second to that is coal. Other forms are costly and pollute as well such as gas, and nuclear. Oh you didn’t know gas extraction results in pollution? Many are crying out that their water is polluted in states where there is allot of gas extraction. These voices are barely heard, muffled by the greed engine of this country.
The safe (and already being used in other countries),hydrogen fuel cell, could correct the balance, but is held back, why?
Our lack of “Made in America”, jobs going overseas, and our society going in circles with regards to toxins and pollution and saving the planet, shows someone is telling half truths or lies.
With the rise in vaccines in children under the age of two, resulting in a huge rise in autism, as a mother of an autistic child, I am concerned. You can read an informative article on the subject here.
I am a free thinking American. I believe it is my right, and duty to think through the issues. It is also my right, and the right of every human being on this planet to try and protect themselves, and those they love.
Just because we were told it is a good thing, does not make it so. How many children now have autism? How many lost jobs have gone to China? What happened to “Made in America”? What happened to our pride as a nation? What happened to thinking for oneself, and being man and woman enough to say it like it is?
You have the power within you as writers to express yourselves and proclaim things “as you see it”. Be proud to be American. Stand up for what we need in order to continue to be the greatest nation on earth. We cannot do this by killing ourselves from within and giving our jobs away to others.
I would like to see “Made in America” become that symbol of pride again; that symbol of quality. As a Christian I pray for God to bless America, but we must be willing to wake up and smell the coffee!
