Look in the mirror and study your eyebrows. Are they ultra thin? Do they have arches? What about a unibrow? Do you have one? What about the size of your eyebrows? Are they the perfect width, just not full enough? I’ve provided information for each of the problems listed above in the following paragraphs. Read the paragraph that best describes your situation.
For ultra thin eyebrows:
This one’s easy. You have one or two options. If you have blonde, red, or light brown hair, it is best for you to use a small sponge for applying eye shadow, a small comb and brush made for the eyebrow, as well as lip liner or an eyebrow pencil for your eyebrows.
After applying your foundation, find a flesh toned, maybe a little darker, shade of eye shadow using the small sponge and apply it to your eye brows. Trace the upper and or bottom line of your eyebrows using the tip if the sponge to apply the eye shadow at the top and or bottom of your eyebrows. Next, take a lip liner or eyebrow pencil and fill in the areas of the eyebrows and the area you traced around the eyebrows. Take your finger and rub it across each brow in the direction the hair grows. Finally, if you must, use the small comb or brush if you desire to shape your eyebrows.
If you have dark hair, you can either follow the instructions I gave above or you can simply apply mascara to your eyebrows. Apply the mascara in the direction your eyebrows are growing. Give the mascara a few seconds to dry, and then run your finger across each brow in the direction that it grows.
For eyebrows with arches and unibrows:
You have one of two options. You can use Nair hair removal or Magic Hair removal. Trust me, I’m well aware of the warning on the back of the Nair bottle that says “Do not apply to the face…” All I have to say is, different strokes for different folks. I’ve been using Nair for my eyebrows for over a year and have been perfectly fine. I personally have not used Magic Hair removal, but from what I hear, it’s a hair removal crème for facial hair on men. You can get it at Walgreens.
Take the hair removal crème of your choice and squeeze a small amount on your finger. If you have a unibrow, simply apply the crème in the space between your eyes. If you have arches, apply the crème to the tip of your eyebrows. Wait about four minutes (or however long it says to wait on the bottle). If your skin begins to itch or burn, remove the crème immediately.
After removing the arches and or unibrow, you can either use personal grooming clippers to help you shape your eyebrows if you need to or you can apply more of the hair removal and use it to shape your eyebrows accordingly. If you use the hair removal crème, apply a very thing amount to the top line of your brows and only apply it to the line that is toward your temple, not your nose.
For perfect width but not full enough:
This method is short and sweet. Take an eyebrow or eyeliner pencil and pencil in your eyebrows. If you don’t have a make-up pencil, use eye shadow. Take your fingertips and rub them across your eyebrows in the direction that they grow. If you use eye shadow, lick your fingertips and rub them across your eyebrows. It sounds gross but saliva is like a concealer for make-up.
