Raise your hand if you’re makeup application challenged like me! This is probably why, for so many years, I’ve avoided wearing makeup. I don’t have the best skin either, and I never find anything that best suits my skin color or the volatility of my skin since it’s so oily. With that being said, I learned some quick and easy ways to upgrade my look with minimal make up that my skin loves and a natural look that I love to maintain since I’m always on the go. Here’s 3 key items that will enhance your look without over indulging in costume make up.
1. Mascara – It’s a necessity. Wearing mascara brings out the shape of your eye and draws attention to the middle of your face. You can also make the best of utilizing mascara by intensing the look with eyeliner. Recently, I was on a quest to discover the best mascara and the best technique for applying mascara. The best application process I’ve learned is starting to apply from the inside to the inside of the eye. Always pull all the way through the lash for fullness. After this, close the eye and apply the mascara through the top of the lashes. I’ve included my best choice mascara is displayed on my blog.
2. Lip gloss – I’ve never gone a day without lip gloss with make up or without it. It makes a look fresh and also refreshes your lips if you use a moisturizing lip gloss. If your lips tend to be small, a clear moisturizing glossing topped with a color tends to make them fuller. If you have full lips like me, the same thing is great but the color applied more in the inside of the lip. I have my favorites displayed on my blog.
3. Blush – If you’re not using a foundation, blush helps overshadow the imperfections of the skin and illuminate the cheek bones. Application of blush depends on the structure of your face. I’ve discovered that when blush doesn’t tend to last as long as you’d like, a great lipstick in a share of pink or red is a substitute! Find a share of lipstick that’s flattering. I’ve also listed a structure chart for application on my blog.
By using these simple items, you can upgrade your look without over doing it. Note that these items will enhance the parts of your fac that naturally are not illuminated. If they are already great without these enhancers, you can minimalize even less! A little bit does go a long day. If you’re a busy woman like me, you don’t have much time for application or sitting through numerous tutorials. Take these key points and explore your face!
