Whether you support the conflicts going on in the world or not, as Americans, supporting our troops by sending a care package is a great way to help those on active duty. This makes a great service project for students who can learn the importance of how to give back to those who are making sacrifices to keep our country safe.
Here is a list of the most important items needed by troops. To find organizations in your area to help with the distribution of these items, contact your local American Legion post or veteran’s association.

These are all items that troops stationed in desert areas like Afghanistan would appreciate. With the holidays coming, this can be a great community project. Why not get your community together and let them know that you are thinking about them by sending a care package?
