Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will step into the ring at Dallas Cowboys tonight after three months of speculation. Manny Pacquiao is looking to prove that he can still beat a larger opponent and to show the world that despite the distraction of his recent election to the Senate in the Philippines will have no affect on his boxing career.
Antonio Margarito will be entering the ring for the first time since his banishment from the ring after being caught wrapping his hands with hardening agent before the Shane Mosely fight. It is also widely believed it was not the first time Margarito had done this. The Miguel Cotto fight that ended Cotto’s dominance of the division was then brought into question. In that fight, Margarito punished Cotto and beat him down. Cotto was never the same after that fight.

Manny Pacquiao -500 vs Antonio Margarito + 375
Manny Pacquiao enters this fight as a 5-1 favorite but his trainer Freddy Roach has been telling anyone within earshot that this is Manny Pacquiao’s worst training camp ever. Roach has brought Pacquiao through the ranks and has groomed him to become the best pound for pound boxer of all time. Pacquiao and his tremendous speed overwhelms his biggest opponents and the theory will be tested in this fight.
Antonio Margarito will have a possible 15-20 pound weight advantage over Manny Pacquiao and he will also have a daunting six and a half inch reach advantage. These two facts cannot be ignored. Margarito is not a stylish fighter. He is a pounder that will come forward take shots and deliver blows while coming forward. AS Larry Merchant said of Margarito in the Miguel Cotto fight, “Margarito eats punches like M&M’s.”
Whenever betting on any fight never take the heavy favorite. They may win but the money that is risked does not justify the bet. Antonio Margarito will lose this fight if it does go the distance. Anyone that insists on betting Pacquiao should consider betting Manny Pacquiao decision +250. The only bet to make for this fight should be Antonio Margarito +375 to win the fight. It is the only way to go in this fight.
