Married today and divorce tomorrow ? What’s the rush in getting married ? Many women who are about to reach a certain age, let’s say around the thirties, often feel an urgency to get married and start a family and there is absolute nothing wrong with that. Marriage is a good thing, especially, when you make the right choice at the right time. Timing is everything when it comes to marriage. You’ll be surprise how a couple months will make a big difference. Many people who have married young, will tell you that they wish they had waited a little longer before jumping the broom. Marriage is a process and it requires a lot of supply and demand. You can’t just think of yourselves in a marriage. Before getting married you should seek to find out as much as you can about your future mate. It’s true you are not going to find out every little detail; but there is so many important things to know before. Such as, do they want children? You don’t want to find out after the wedding, that she or he does not want any children. Have they ever been abused? Many people are coming upfront to talk about how they have been abused when they were younger. These type of things are important to know beforehand, because they might have issues communicating their feelings to you in the marriage and may even have intimacy issues. How do they respond when they get anger at you? You don’t want to find out later he had previous restraining orders against him. Be bold and ask questions upfront, it’s only your future at stake! Sometimes, taking a little bit more time to get to know someone and their character will save you a lot of trouble in the long run. So, don’t be hasty when it comes to marriage. That is why it is also important to get to a place of wholeness as an individual before you get married and that goes for both parties. Many rush into a marriage because of the fear of being alone, then end up in a bad marriage and still end up feeling alone. Marriage is a commitment that should not be rush. Find wholeness in yourself first, instead of trying to find someone to make you whole. Who wants a half of anything anyway? I prefer a whole man, not half of a man.
