This recall is for Golden Dipt Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter.
What’s the problem?
Funnel cake batter was packaged in the Golden Dipt Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter pouch. Funnel cake batter has an egg ingredient, which is not in the Golden Dipt, and is therefore not listed in the ingredients on the package. People with egg allergies could have serious reactions if they consumed this product. As of release time, no illnesses or allergic reactions had been reported. McCormick is issuing an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.
Which specific McCormick Golden Dipt products are included in this recall?
This recall is for 10 oz. packages with a UPC code of 4123470111 and a BEST BY date of NOV 17 11 AH. The date code can be found on the bottom of the carton, printed in white ink. The packages were sold to grocery stores in the southeastern United States.
What do I do now?
All grocery stores that sell this product are being told to remove it from the shelves immediately. If you have already purchased this product, do not return it to the store. Contact McCormick’s Consumer Affairs team at 800-632-5847 for a replacement or refund. They will also tell you what to do with the product.
