The McDonald’s McRib sandwich is coming back to McDonald’s locations for a limited time. Ã’ The McRib debut will be in November, and it will be on McDonald’s menus for about six weeks before it goes back into the vault. Ã’ That should be just long enough for McRib fans to get their fill of the sandwich, and for many others to complain that the McRib is a sandwich with no ribs in it.
According to the McDonald’s_Twitter_account, they are already stocking up at napkins, because, “The Legendary McRib is coming back Nov. 2.” Â Less than a month of time exists between now and when McRib fans can get their next fill of this limited-time-only product, and McDonald’s is banking on that short term offering to help boost fourth quarter sales across the country. Ã’ It will probably work, as it always does, and offering a product for a limited time tends to get people into the stores quicker.
For those who have never tried a McRib sandwich, it basically boils down to a pork sandwich with BBQ sauce, onions, and pickles on a tasty bun. Ã’ For those die-hard McRib fans, one fan also created a website dedicated to revealing every McDonald’s location that will be serving the McRib. Ã’ It is an interesting site, if for no other reason than to show his dedication and love for the fast food product. Ã’ You can check out the McRib Locator here.
There are a couple of reasons that people suspect that the McRib isn’t a year round menu item, with the first being that people get tired of it after the “newness” wears off. Ã’ It does seem like a product that wouldn’t do well if it was offered every day. Ã’ The second reason people assume it isn’t offered all the time is that McDonald’s wants to keep it as a promotional item, so that it turns into an “event” every time the McRib is brought back into restaurants.
To all the McRib fans out there, now you can head out to vote in your local elections on Tuesday, November 2nd, and then celebrate by going to your local McDonald’s to enjoy the sandwich. Ã’ Make sure to get your fill though, because by the time Christmas rolls around, there won’t be a McRib to be had at any of the nation’s McDonald’s locations. Ã’ Then it could be another ten months before we hear about the McRib coming back.
