Jerry Brown running for Governor again? As a centrist, I appreciate the ideals of Republicans and Democrats alike; I have voted the two evils no matter their political persuasion. As for Republicans I believe in fewer laws. I’m also a strong believer in capitalism.
As for Democrats, the rich should pay a higher share of taxes than those of the poor. I believe in creating laws to protect our poor, including illegal immigrants. They really do- ‘the doo-doo’ work no one else will do-even in this saddened economy. See Colbert flirting with congress after working in a field -picking all day. Deals have been made with Corporate America-; where by they surreptitiously, invite the INS to grab their illegal employees, all negotiated in advance by handing the INS the addresses of the immigrants so that the INS can pick up just a random few, while keeping the remaining illegal workers both fearful and subjugated (It certainly doesn’t want to make you sing, “Living in America” )
Meg Whitman VS Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown was ineffectual. He created the funds- only to inappropriately appropriate them. No Education?Jerry Brown was our Governor. He admits he has learned things since then; exactly what he doesn’t say. Jerry Brown admits he has no real plan to correct the problems that are beating our economically and politically distraught California to death. But J. Brown’s willing to give it a try- whoop-de-do, as in doo-doo politics. What killed Jerry Brown back then is and has been killing California for decades. Driving industry out of California with legislative reform backed by a witch hunt from the EPA, not backed by Congress.- Heed this JB- before you start driving out more industry- drive some in, yes clean energy, I want that, we all do. Put us to work making windmills, solar panels, tennis rackets anything and or outsourcing ourselves as the guru’s of LEED technology or any clean technology. Jerry you put the cart before the horse and ran yourself and your cart right through the do-do of politics. Create jobs first, before cutting them, even for good cause.
Meg Whitman; I won’t vote for a woman just because she’s a woman nor will I vote for a man just because he’s a tottering fool from an inglorious war wanting to lead us all into more war and telling us the economy is just super on the same day that Wall Street crashes, (his name escapes me on purpose) and like any doo-doo politician peddling in a bicycle built for two with a woman (just because she was a woman) from an oil rich state that couldn’t possibly do poorly no matter who was governor.( even if it were Jerry Brown), Sarah Palin, couldn’t even think to name one or two newspapers on the spur of the moment. If there is one thing a politician must do, even if her high-heels and over the shoulder boulder holders are killing her, is think on her feet!
So Meg Whitman didn’t vote for 28 years? Her answers for this were as lame as Sarah’s.
Now she’s suddenly heady over politics, what does this say about her? Whitman was just too busy with E-Bay, to get to the polls? Come-on! Really Meg if you want to be in the game at least put your cleats on and practice kicking the ball around. The way I see it, Meg Whitman is like so many people once having gained prosperity, having played the field of business or (Hollywood acting and Hollywood acting); then finding that something still lacks in their portfolio of life; they decide in the middle of the night while eating an ice cream sandwich or reading something other than a newspaper, “I think I’ll go into politics!”
My right hand will fight with my left to keep me from pressing the button for Meg Whitman or Jerry Brown. I’ll probably vote for Jerry Brown. If anything he once had the interests of the people at heart; Jerry Brown turned down fancy limos, for Plymouths- choosing other housing. Here is where giving my honest opinion will win me friends, gain me enemies and make me look as foolish as the politicians themselves.
