For Metal Gear fans, the wait is almost over, right?
Ever since Metal Gear Solid: Rising was announced back in 2009 at the Microsoft E3 press conference, a solid release date for the highly anticipated title has yet to be announced.
In case you didn’t know, Rising is an upcoming action video game in the Metal Gear series by Kojima Productions and is currently in development for the for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 consoles, and PC (Microsoft Windows).
Metal Gear Solid: Rising is also touted as an interquel set between the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Sounds exciting, but when exactly will we be able to play it?
Confirmed Release Date?
As for the official release date of Rising?
Well, there really isn’t one right now. The game is still listed as TBA 2011. In other words, the game should be ready for gamers some time in 2011.
Whether it will be released early in the year or later is still unknown, but as 2011 approaches, we should hear from Konami on an actual release date to pin down.
Until then, Metal Gear fans will just have to wait to see what happens. Still, there’s plenty of teasers available to get you excited about the title, including gameplay footage and plot details.
Let’s not forget about a few surprises here and there as well. At TGS this year, Sony announced that the PS3 version of Rising would be in 3D.
