The U.S. Consumer and Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on metallic candles that are sold exclusively at Yankee Candle Stores. Once again, consumers are being subjected to a recall that may cause injury to themselves or others.
The candles are silver and gold metallic candles that are 10″ high. They are priced at $1.99 at the Yankeee Candle Stores nationwide and the manufacturer of the metallic candles is the General Wax and Candle Company of North Hollywood, CA.
The metallic paint used on these candles can ignite posing a risk of fire or injury. To date, there has been no injuries from these candles.
With the busy shopping season upon us, consumers are purchasing items as gifts or for their households. If you have purchased these metallic candles from one of the Yankee Candle Stores, you need to return them by bringing them back to any Yankee Candle Store or you can contact the General Wax and Candle Company at 800 543-0642.
The metallic candles in question were sold at Yankee Candle Stores nationwide during October and November of this year.
