Residents of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood love to pass the time in the local, infamous, Golden Gate Park. From the majestic tea garden to the stunning lakes, there is always something for everyone. The de Young Museum prides itself on its Friday Nights at the de Young program, which offers poetry, music, dance and more to the public.
This Friday, the de Young is holding the Mexico 2010 celebration, which honors the 200th anniversary of the independence of Mexico. Music, dancing and other showcases will be on display for visitors of the museum who are curious in the culture of modern-day Mexico.
The event is provided free of charge and will be held all day until 8:45 p.m.
