The Miami Dolphins will travel across the country to face the Oakland Raiders November 28th. The Oakland Raiders are stinging from their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins are still a better road team than a home after yet another home loss shutout to the Chicago Bears last Thursday night.

The Miami Dolphins defense has strong against the pass and average against the run this season. The defense is giving up an average of 315 yards of total offense per game but their pass defense has been the best aspect of their game.
On the edges the Miami Dolphins have been exceptional by keeping opposing offenses from cashing in on big plays and only allowing 200 yards passing per game. Their run defense is giving up an average of 110 yards per game and the addition of Karlos Dansby has shored up their middle pass defense and he has helped out against the run as well.
Jason Campbell and the Oakland Raiders offense have played well in spurts this season but against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense they went down like lambs. The Oakland Raiders running game has been their bread and butter and their running game is number one in the NFL averaging 160 yards plus per game. The Pittsburgh Steelers shut down Darren McFadden and company in their game and the passing game folded along with it. The Oakland Raiders offense has the edge over the Miami Dolphins defense.

No one knows for sure who will be under center for the Miami Dolphins but the assumption is that Tyler Thigpen will have one more shot to assume the role. Thigpen had an awful game against one of the best defenses in the NFL, the Chicago Bears.
Thigpen will have 10 days of practice with the first team offense and this should help him improve for this game. He has weapons on this team including Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall, it will just be a matter of getting the ball to him.
The Oakland Raiders defense has been better than expected this season and their rookies are the main reason they are playing as a top ten defensive team in the NFL. Rookies LaMaar Houston and Rolando McClain have made a huge impact on this the Oakland Raiders defense along with veteran defensive end Richard Seymour.
The Oakland Raiders defense is shutting down opposing passing games and lead the league in least amount of yards given up through the air. The most pronounced area of improvement for the Oakland Raiders has been their run defense. The Oakland Raiders run defense went from allowing an average of over 160 yards per game early in the season to 124 yards per game at this point of the season. The Oakland Raiders defense has the edge over the Miami Dolphins offense.
