On Tuesday, October 5, 2010, Michael Bolton return to Dancing With the Stars to do what he does best, sing. The two time Grammy winner only had an hour to rehearse. Yet, he really didn’t need a lot of time to rehearse. Although, he isn’t a professional dancer, he is a professional singer. He is also a singer who didn’t want to let his fans down when asked to step in at the last minute to take the place of singer Susan Boyle who was scheduled to perform, yet had to decline, because of a throat infection.
Many were shocked yet happy when the surprise announcement came last night that Michael would be returning to Dancing with the Stars, especially since he left on a sour note. Judge Bruno called his last dance the worse jive he had seen in eleven seasons. Michael felt humiliated by his remarks and wanted an apology. He never got his apology. But he got to prove that he was a bigger man in the end, by stepping in when Dancing With The stars needed him and reminded Dancing With The Stars and the fans of the show, the reason he was asked to be on the show in the first place, because he is a star, a star performing.
The crowd went wild when they announced Michael was to sing. The song he performed was “Hallelujah”. The audience gave him a standing ovation. The cameras landed on Judge Bruno a couple of times while he was joining in the standing ovation and he had a smile plastered on his face.
